Create your first LOCAL workspace

Do this in the desktop app after you are signed in and have opened the Workspace App.

Steps

  1. In the file-tree toolbar, choose Create.
  2. In Create dev workspace, select Local Workspace (Filesystem) → Continue.
  3. Optionally enter a name.
  4. Click Browse… and select a base folder on your Mac (an existing folder where the app can create the workspace).
  5. Click Create dev workspace.

The app creates a new workspace folder under that base (via the local agent). Wait until the workspace appears and opens.

Create Local Workspace — browse base folder, then create.
Create Local Workspace — browse base folder, then create.

What you should see next

  • The workspace opens with mode tabs: Overview, Plan, IDE, Runs, Knowledge.
  • Start in Plan or IDE.

Tips

  • Prefer a folder you own (for example under your home directory). Avoid system-protected paths.
  • Keep the desktop app running while you use a LOCAL workspace — the local agent must be available.
